At MAEH Dental we offer a wide range of options to help you to restore your smile. Using advanced techniques, high tech equipment and quality materials we can help to restore tooth strength, functionality and overall smile aesthetics.
Missing teeth can affect a persons speech, confidence and function- taking away their enjoyment of socialising and even simple tasks such as eating become tiresome!
A dental crown can be used to restore and protect a tooth that has been weakened or compromised. They can be made in a variety of materials, the most popular being porcelain, zirconia or gold. They can be custom shaped and colour matched to your teeth by using the latest technology which allows for a more predictable and precise workflow and prioritises patient comfort. Dental crowns can be used along with a dental implant to replace missing teeth, and support bridges or dentures, providing stability and enhancing the functionality of your smile.
Dental bridges are one method of replacing single or multiple missing teeth. Where suitable, healthy teeth neighbouring a gap are electively prepared and used as an anchor for an adjoining false porcelain tooth. This bridge is designed to blend into your smile perfectly, and is cemented onto your natural teeth, permanently filling the gap.
Dentures are removable oral appliances designed to replace missing teeth. They are custom made to fit each patient, ensuring a comfortable feel and natural appearance. Dentures can be full – when all of the teeth are missing, or partial – when only some teeth are missing. Dentures can be made in hard acrylic, flexible acrylic or metal framework materials, and each come with their own advantages and limitations which would be discussed after assessing your suitability for each type during your consultation.
Dental implants can be used in a variety of situations to help replace missing teeth and restore your smile. A dental implant can be used to support the most natural looking tooth replacement and can dramatically improve your function, dental aesthetics and confidence.
An implant replaces the root of a tooth and is used to hold in the visible part of the tooth, known as the crown. The dental implant stands alone, without relying on healthy adjacent teeth for support or retention.
A single implant is needed to replace one tooth, but not every missing tooth needs to have an implant beneath it – a bridge supported by more than one implant can be used to replace multiple teeth.
The specialist “All-on-4” dental implants can also be used to replace a full dental arch and remove the need for dentures altogether.
